Eset’s NOD32 Antivirus Version 4 Released!
March 11, 2009 by AntivirusWare.
Eset just recently released NOD32 Version 4. What’s new in this version? Does NOD32 v4 continue to be a lean, mean virus-fighting machine?
To be honest, there isn’t much different between Version 3 and Version 4 of NOD32. The two versions are very similar in almost every respect. Normally a new version coming out with little difference over its previous version is considered a failure, but NOD32 is already an excellent antivirus program so just a few tweaks can be considered a success.
So what’s new? For one, informational screens no longer intrude upon the user when they’re running an application or a game. Needless distractions can wait.
NOD32 Antivirus 4.0 also scans and cleans email to further protect your computer from viruses. It also now prevents viruses from entering via removable media such as USB drives - closing yet another doorway for viruses and malware.
Overall NOD32 version 4 continues to be a very good antivirus program. You can read more about our Review of NOD32 Antivirus here, or view screenshots of NOD32 Antivirus here.
