BitDefender AntiVirus 2009 Review

Many of you have probably heard of BitDefender Antivirus. For 3-users you can’t beat their price of only $29.95. But is it worth saving a few dollars if the antivirus program you’re purchasing isn’t up to standards? Well, let’s take a look at the new BitDefender 2009 program…
BitDefender Antivirus 2009 has a very good user-interface that’s easy to use, and includes a good feature set including Game and Laptop Modes, and isn’t a resource hog on your computer’s system resources. But here’s the bad part… BitDefender 2009 was 2nd-rate when tested by AV Comparatives for its malicious software detection. An antivirus program that’s easy to use but 2nd-rate for virus/malware detection is a little worrying. In fact, we’d recommend steering clear of BitDefender 2009 in favor of a program that performed better in malware testing - such as Norton Antivirus or Kaspersky Antivirus.
