Avira AntiVir Version 9 released!

Following just a couple weeks after NOD32 Antivirus Version 4’s release Avira launches their new antivirus AntiVir program. So how did Avira AntiVir version 9 perform?
Unfortunately the new 2009 version fell short of expectations. Don’t get me wrong Avira is very effective at stopping viruses, in fact it’s one of the best in several malware/virus tests. However, Avira AntiVir has been and continues to be one of the most outdated antivirus programs. Its user interface looks like it’s a decade out of place. With Avira’s high marks for virus removal & protection we were hoping they’d update their 2009 interface, however no such luck.
Take a look for yourself at the screenshots of Avira AntiVir version 9… here’s hoping that next year they finally get the program interface updated so Avira can once again join the Antivirus Elite!
