Macs and Viruses
November 15, 2008 by Antivirus Ware.comA lot of people focus on the fact that PCs have to deal with a lot of viruses and spyware. People will spend hundreds of dollars on different types of software that aim to take out the spyware, adware, and viruses that they deal with on a daily basis. While a lot of people have heard about the fact that Apple computers do not have to deal with viruses, most people are unsure as to what to think about the situation.
It is true that Apple computers do not have to deal with the viruses and spyware that PCs have to deal with. There are multiple explanations as to why this happens though. While a lot of people will take about the coding for the operating system as the major reason that there are no major and well known viruses for Apple computers, there is one major reason that they do not talk about: popularity. While Apple computers continue to gain in popularity, there simply are not as many people who use them as those who use PCs. Those who are creating spyware and viruses want to be able to hit as many people as physically possible. They simply do not pay attention to the operating software for Apple computers.
